The IP65 protection class is what counts
The IP protection classes indicate how strongly a product is protected outdoors against harmful factors such as water and dirt. To determine which protection class the respective product has, it is extensively tested.
The class consists of two digits. The first indicates the protection against foreign bodies and contact, the second - protection against water.
For outdoor use, the outdoor floodlights should have protection class 65. This means that they are tightly protected against dust (first digit 6) and water jets (second digit 5).
Tip: In our online store, you can easily recognize the outdoor-capable devices by their name. They are usually already marked with "IP" in the product designation.
Which outdoor spotlight is suitable for which event?
Which effect spotlights are best for you depends on the purpose of the lighting and the local conditions.
For applications in the field of architectural lighting and facade lighting, IP spots in flat design and IP bars (spotlight strips) are particularly suitable. In our store, these are also available for purchase as a set with several outdoor spotlights and flight case.
At garden parties and weddings, the respective visitor area must be supplied with light. In order not to be too dependent on the power situation on site, outdoor spotlights with battery operation are recommended, where the battery can also be changed.
