Moving Head Washer
Since the ABACAB tour of Genesis in 1981, moving heads have become an integral part of the event scene. That was when the head-moving spotlights were first used at a show – and they have come to stay: In the past 40 years a lot has changed when it comes to moving heads. In addition to technological advances, there are also different types nowadays, each with its own functions and features. Thus, in addition to the classic moving head, you will also find moving head washers in our range, which are especially suitable for use on stages or in discotheques due to their special features.
Structure of moving heads
In terms of technical construction, moving head washers are very similar to their "older" brother, the classic moving head. While the electronics, power supply and, if necessary, a DMX connection are hidden in the base of the spotlight, the arm and head of the moving head are responsible for the characteristic PAN and TILT movements. This makes it possible to direct the light of the moving head in any direction.
Special features of washlights
The light that the moving head wash casts onto the stage at a concert or in a theater can best be described as a fuzzy, rather flat beam with softly fading edges. Depending on the model, some units allow the beam angle, i.e. how far the light spreads out as seen from the spotlight, to be changed using a zoom. In combination with so-called – fog machines that create artificial haze – the devices conjure up soft light on the stage or dance floor of your event. The light of the moving head washlights becomes clearly visible through the fine haze and, thus, creates an impressive atmosphere.
Moving Head Washlights with LEDs as
In our assortment you will find primarily LED moving head washlights. The color of their light can be infinitely adjusted thanks to RGB or RGBW color mixing. For example, in our online store you can find LED moving head washers with 400-watt COB LEDs, motorized zoom, electronic dimmer and RGBW color mixing. In addition, the built-in mains and DMX inputs and outputs make it possible to chain several devices at a show and loop through the power as well as the signal.
Light shows are particularly eye-catching when the PAN/TILT movement of the individual washlights is precisely coordinated to create a flowing movement. in the truest sense of the word!
