Remote controls are a practical tool for conveniently controlling light, sound and effects at small events, in the catering industry and for fixed installations in event locations. For mobile DJs in particular, remote controls offer a quick, convenient way of operating without the use of complex control consoles.

While IR remote controls require a direct line of sight between the remote control and the device, radio remote controls work via radio signals that also penetrate obstacles. This also makes them suitable for use on stages or in more complex setups.
